Meet Torquay Podiatrist Oliver Tate
Oliver graduated from La Trobe University in 2014 with a Master of Podiatric Practice. Since then, he has spent most of his career in private practice, helping people stay happy, healthy, and active.
He is endorsed for scheduled medicines, allowing him to prescribe a range of medications and administer corticosteroid injections for the foot and ankle. Oliver has a strong interest in exercise and strength-based rehabilitation, shockwave therapy, load management, orthoses therapy, and footwear modifications—skills he first developed while working as a ski boot fitter in Niseko, Japan.
Committed to staying up to date with the latest research, Oliver is a member of the Sports and Exercise Podiatry Association, an affiliate member of the Australian College of Podiatric Surgeons, and regularly attends professional development seminars. He is currently completing a Master of Sports Medicine at the University of Melbourne and plans to pursue a surgical fellowship in the future.
An avid sportsman, Oliver plays football for Geelong in the VFL and enjoys training for endurance events, having completed the Singapore and Melbourne marathons. This year, he is preparing for a 70.3 Ironman in Busselton, WA. Outside of work, he enjoys the gym, cycling, snowboarding, and playing cricket, golf, and tennis—anything that keeps him active and energised.
