Our Team - Catherine Alison
Catherine grew up in Melbourne where she completed a double degree at Victoria University. Catherine made the move to Barwon Heads 2014 in search of a more balanced lifestyle and to continue to train as a top age group triathlete.
Before working as an Osteopath, Catherine was heavily involved in the health and fitness industry in Melbourne working as a Clinical Pilates instructor, sports trainer for St Kevins Old Boys FC and a Bootcamp instructor with Original Bootcamp Australia.
Catherine’s background is in endurance sport and she is passionate about treating all types of sporting based injuries from the weekend warrior, to the elite level professional. Catherine has a particular interest in women’s health having worked at Fertile Ground in Melbourne in her graduate year, and also enjoys working with lower limb injuries in triathletes and runners.
Outside of work, Catherine trains up to 20 hours a week and competes in both long distance running and triathlon events domestically and internationally. Catherine has represented Australia at the age group World Championships over standard distance (2014 and 2018) and Ironman 70.3 Distance (2014, 2017). In 2015 she finished 2nd in her age group at the ITU Duathlon World Championships in Adelaide, and in 2017 competed in her first full distance Ironman winning the overall female category for both open and age group athletes.
